Using Carbon Neutral Wetland Habitat to Prevent Erosion
Salix were asked to provide an environmentally sensitive solution to protect the embankments of around each lake. Working with the client, a range of bioengineering solutions were provided depending on the erosion risk and likelihood of vegetation establishment, providing multiple benefits between habitat creation and erosion control.
River works at Yearl Weir
Salix are involved in a project in Cumbria to reinstate a riverbank following a large flood event. The project involves installing a rootwad revetment and Salix Aqua-Rock Bags XL, providing natural bank protection, flow diversity and excellent habitat.
