Green embankments play an important role in supporting sustainable infrastructure but they are vulnerable to erosion. Without the right protection they can lose stability and impact both safety and the surrounding environment.

Our green infrastructure solutions combine reinforcement and erosion control with natural planting to create embankments that are both resilient and environmentally friendly. Working with our sister company British Flora, we can also supply specialist seed mixes to encourage strong vegetation growth, helping embankments blend into the landscape whilst staying secure for the future.

Silent Valley Erosion Control

Salix applied HydraCX™ to 125,000 m² of erosion-prone landfill slopes in Ebbw Vale, providing immediate soil protection and promoting vegetation growth as a cost-effective, natural alternative to traditional erosion control mats.

M25 Road Widening

A 45° slope was successfully vegetated using HydraCX, which applied a seed and fibre matrix directly onto fill material, providing rapid, durable grass establishment, erosion control, and long-term sustainability without the need for topsoil or geocells.

Kingsbury Tamworth Rail Line

HydraCX was applied to stony slopes in Tamworth to establish vegetation without topsoil, successfully stabilising the surface and promoting natural colonisation over time through a nurse crop approach that withstood heavy rainfall and harsh conditions.
