Plants doing well in intertidal habitat of the Thames

Estuary Edges released an updated handbook in late summer. The document is a ‘how to’ guide on mudflat and saltmarsh restoration along the River Thames.

Only 2% of the tidal banks are natural in the Thames Estuary, so restoration will have significant ecological benefits to assist particularly with fish abundance, as well as other fauna and flora.

More information on our intertidal projects is available.

Salix co-authored in the first volume of Estuary Edges, having been involved in a significant number of projects within the tidal extent of the River Thames.

If you have an upcoming intertidal project, Salix can offer initial free assistance.
