Traditional drainage methods reduce habitat and increase flooding

SUDS

Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems

Traditional methods of drainage aim to remove water from one point to another as quickly as possible.

This creates significant flooding, erosion, and sedimentation and associated water quality problems and often isolates a waterbody from supporting any ecological habitats. Construction materials usually consist of concrete or
aggregate which are unsustainable and expensive to produce.

Salix provide a design, build and maintain service for integrated SUDS approach to drainage.
